I fail to see how the car can be that fast considering the following: [ http://www.caranddriver.com/xp/Caranddriver/features/2000/December/200012_feature_firehawk.xml?keywords=camaro ] This is a $3,500 additional SLP Trans Am that Car and Driver tests at 5.1/13.6 respectively, and this is with 335 RATED HP. [ http://www.edmunds.com/reviews/comparison/articles/43923/page009.html ] Edmunds.com comparison test where stock z28 SS runs 5.6/14.0 and stock WS6 Firebird runs them in 5.5/13.9 [ http://www.caranddriver.com/xp/Caranddriver/roadtests/1998/October/199810_shorttake_chevrolet_camaroz28ss.xml?keywords=camaro ]
Car and Driver Short take of an SS where they achieve 4.9/13.5 and claim the regular z28 gets 5.2/13.8 (pretty much what i said it did) [ http://www.caranddriver.com/xp/Caranddriver/features/1998/May/199805_specialtyfile_linge.xml?&keywords=Camaro&page=2 ] Car and Driver review of a Lingenfelter z28 that makes 430 HP at the cost of a mere $17,000. This car runs the quarter in 12.8, and is hardly stock. In the same article, Car and Driver once again quotes a 5.2 0-60 time for a stock z28 [ http://www.edmunds.com/reviews/comparison/articles/47901/page020.html ] Edmunds Mustang Bullitt VS Camaro z28 where the Camaro gets 5.5/13.8 Should a stock Firebird Trans AM Ram Air be able to defeat a Stage III z32, then it seems likely that this deficiency may be more driver related than car related.
